Jiujiang city, located at the intersection of the Changjiang River and the Beijing-Kowloon Railway, closed to the Changjiang River on the north, the Mt. Lushan on the south and the Poyang Lake on the east, is a famous southern city with more than 2,200-year history, and is also one of  “Four Rice Cities” and “Three Tea Cities” in Modern China. Moreover, Jiujiang has rich tourism resources and profound cultural deposits, which is also a well-known tourist attraction.
The canyon experience is inspired by the idea of a natural landscape intervention in Jiujiang’s dense urban condition.
A four levels promenade crosses the plot like a water flow inspired by the lush natural resources of Jiujiang, organizing all the circulations and public spaces along the flow.
Terraced gardens from third to fifth floors along with four open-air plazas reinforce the idea of a fluid circulation system at the core of the retail complex.
